I'm all for performance related pay...but....this takes the biscuit!

The head of the Met office John Hirst (for it is he, the very same who uses the Met office to promote man made global warming) is to get a 25% pay rise taking his salary to over £200,000.

Part of the package is "performance related" pay, though quite how the chief exec of an organisation that forecast a "barbecue summer" and "the mildest winter ever" can justify that element of a pay packet escapes me!

Paid for failing and getting it wrong, there's only one other job I can think of that where those same rules apply; Members of Parliament.

Nice work if you can get it John, enjoy the mild winter mate!
