The head of the Met office John Hirst (for it is he, the very same who uses the Met office to promote man made global warming) is to get a 25% pay rise taking his salary to over £200,000.Part of the package is "performance related" pay, though quite how the chief exec of an organisation that forecast a "barbecue summer" and "the mildest winter ever" can justify that element of a pay packet escapes me!
Paid for failing and getting it wrong, there's only one other job I can think of that where those same rules apply; Members of Parliament.
