A load of hot air

Interesting piece in the Times today (Note: complete with cute Polar bears floating on growlers) calling on "honesty" about climate change from John Beddington the chief scientific adviser to the Government, now theres a change in the weather vane!

If you want honesty John try reading these comments from Hswiseman in the comments section of  Whats Up With That (an excellent site) but I'll quote them anyway.

I write this from the middle of the eastern China coastal Plain where particulate air pollution is out of control, water pollution is out of control, solid waste management is out of control, industrial conversation of Ag land is out of control, all of which is reduced to side show by fixation on the trivial warming effects of a trace gas. The legitimates causes of pollution control and conservation have been hijacked by a scientific freak show, demanding that the entire world fiddle while substantial portions of the planet burn. Those forces (political and industrial) that have no interest in addressing reality will happily spar forever in the fantasy shadow game of carbon control.

You can see more here on Chinahush about the "honest" extent of China's environmental damage but a warning; some of the pictures are quite distressing but the comments explaining the pictures are simply horror.



So there you have it, truth and honesty about the real carnage and damage being done to the environment blighting millions of lives, killing swathes of flora and fauna and people while the rest of the world obsesses about a trace gas making up less than 0.4% of our atmosphere!

Its just a load of Hot Air......
