The EU is Listening....

In the past the European Union has been accused of being virtually deaf to the wants and needs of its member’s populace. The recent reactions to referenda being a classic

example, where you keep on voting if you say “non” until you say “yes”! But worry not………for it seems the EU is mending its ways and is going to listen from now on.

The EU is planning to listen, all the time, whatever you are doing!

"Project INDECT” aims to mine data from television, (that’s why they want us to go digital then) internet traffic, cell-phone conversations, p2p file sharing and a range of other sources for crime prevention and threat prediction. And guess what you’re paying for it, 14.68 Million Euros so far….Ohh…..and it began in January this year and is set to continue for five years under its current mandate.

And this is on top of all the other “institutions” and organisations that have already been set up:

ADABTS, AMASS, BeSeCu, CAST, COCAE, COPE, CPSI, CREATIF, CRESCENDO, CrisComScore, DEMASST, DETECTER, EFFISEC, ESCoRTS, EULER, EU-SEC II, EUSECON, FESTOS, FORESEC, FRESP, GLOBE, iDetecT 4ALL, IMSK, INDECT, INEX, INFRA, LOTUS, NMFRDisaster, Odyssey, OPERAMAR, OPTIX, SAFE-COMMS, SAMURAI, SECRICOM, SECTRONIC, SecurEau, SECURENV, SEREN, SGL for USaR, SICMA, STRAW, SUBITO, TALOS, UNCOSS, WIMA2S

All of which amongst other things will take care of security in society, “socio-economic, political and cultural aspects of security, ethics and values, acceptance of security solutions, social environment and perceptions of security” is the blurb from just one of them.

So rest assured whatever you are doing the new Supreme Government of Europe will be listening to your every word or online action. Reassuring.........isn't it?

I feel safer already.
